sometimes i think, why do we give salam?
one reason is listening to a brilliant story of Uthman and Ali, competing with each other to wish salam to each other.
what does 'asalamualaikum' means?
Assalamualaikum = Peace be Upon You=selamat sejahtera ke atas kamu semua
i watched Kingdom of Heaven. it was amazing to see people wishing this to each other eventhough they are from different religion. How peaceful the world can be ^_^
My thoughts about why we do it: i think, a way of thinking about when we wish people 'asalamualaikum', i think, this can also be a way for us to pray for those people we wish. We pray for Allah to bless these people we are wishing because we love them.
May Allah bless all of us for loving those people we wish
p/s:i am sorry if what i am saying is wrong. please correct me.....and i know, there are more input about this topic area. but i just want to share m thoughts
